Zechariah 4,5,6; Luke 12
Scripture:
Zechariah 4:6 So he answered and said to me:
“ This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel:
‘ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the LORD of hosts.
Luke 12:12 For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”
Luke 12:31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
Observation:
'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit.' I remember reading this as a teenager, and storing it in my heart. Every time I faced a difficulty, defeat, failure or a rejection, I would speak this over my life. I would cry out to God and ask Him to move by His precious Holy Spirit on my behalf. Every time God would work it out for me. Every time He would do a miracle. The Holy Spirit is my Guide, my Counselor, my Comfort, my Mentor. He desires to mentor me each day. He will fill my mouth with the Word of the Lord, my mind with the wisdom and discernment for the things of God and my heart with the love of Jesus Christ. God calls me to chase after things of His kingdom, in doing so the things of God will manifest in my life. The things of this earth are temporary, and they have no value in the scales of eternity.
Application:
A greater awareness to the Holy Spirit is stirring in me. I sense His presence with me, His joy and peace. I sense that God is for me and that His Spirit will work things out for me. I know that God is working on me. The Holy Spirit is mentoring me and I must continue to obey and follow. My flesh will always resist or look for short cuts, and obedience is required. I am grateful today, grateful for peace, love, joy, vision and passion. I am excited to think that God says run and I will provide for You. I am blessed to know that He knows my needs and will work it all out. I seek the plans of God today and as my ear is fixed on the Holy Spirit, God will reveal them to me.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit mentor me today. Teach me today. Guard my heart and my mind. Renew my heart and fill it with the love of God. Forgive me for my sins and wash me clean. I pray Lord for breakthrough in all areas of my life. I pray for my wife and ask You to favor her. Bless her and releases the songs of heaven in her heart. Bless my friend Josh and mentor Him today. Fill him with vision, faith to accomplish it and wisdom to keep balance. Bless my urgency staff and keep them close to You. Let them feel Your presence and know Your heart. Be with every student today. Heal them, fill them with love, joy, peace and faith. Give them the wisdom to make the right choices. Bless very volunteer leader today, open doors for them and fill them with passion. Thank You for this new day. Help me to walk in Your ways. Give me favor, wisdom and strength. Amen.

Tranference through Prayer
Zechariah 1, 2,3; Luke 11
Scripture:
Luke 11: 2And He said to them, "When you pray, say:
'Father, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Observation:
Jesus taught us how to pray and He starts by teaching us to acknowledge God and pray His will for our lives. Jesus reminds us that God has made all things possible and that God has a plan and a purpose for our lives. We are to pray the things of the kingdom into this world. It is like praying things from the spirit world into the natural world (our world.)
Application:
This passage reminds me why prayer is so important. Prayer makes transference happen. Prayer unleashes the power, provision, will and plans of God in my life. As I reflect on this passage I am reminded that I live to much on the natural and not enough on the spiritual. I am glad that God is stirring up my heart for the spiritual. There is a hunger, a desperation to see the hand of God move. I must practice the discipline of prayer until it becomes a greater part of my life. When one understands the value of something, you grab onto it. I want a greater value of prayer in my life. I want to see a greater transference from the kingdom of God into my life. I'm glad today, glad that Jesus has made the way for me to do this. I am glad that God is working in and through me. I'm blessed, blessed because greater things are coming my way. I pray today, "Your kingdom come, Your will be done in my life as it is in heaven.'
Prayer:
Father thank You for all the blessings, plans and purposes You have called me to. Forgive me for living so much by the flesh and for allowing emotions and carnal things to dictate my life. Holy Spirit thank You for ministering to me the past few days. I know that I'm entering a new season and I pray that You would unleash the will of the Father over my life. Lord renew my mind and my heart. Guide me and fill me with wisdom and discernment. Thank You today for a new day and for new blessings. Fill me with peace and patience to wait on You. Bless my wife, my friends and my staff. Bless Ps. Dick and Adam. Thank You for all You are doing at Jubilee. Bless our church.
Amen.

Keep the right heart
Daniel 11; Daniel 12; Luke 6
Scripture:
Luke 6: 2 And some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?”
Luke 6: 7 So the scribes and Pharisees watched Him closely, whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against Him.
Luke 6: 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart[g] brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
Observation:
The religious hated what Jesus was up to. He was going against the system they had built. They condemned people into following Jesus. They were the rulers and everyone had to submit to their authority. They could not see Jesus, the Son of God, for Who He was, because their hearts were so blinded by religion, legalism and condemnation. Jesus ends by summing it all up around the heart. A man brings forth fruit from his heart, either it’s good or it’s bad. Whatever we have stored in our hearts will come out in the end.
Application:
As I reflect on this passage I realize that many will not always agree with me. I am a young pastor, driven by passion and vision. I am one that others will look at and judge because of my age, experience and the way I think. I think and present angles that the older generation might not comprehend because of technology, communication skills and the advancement of the next generation. This does not give me the right to judge the older generation, the religious or the experienced. I am called to lead when others judge me or criticize me. I cannot avoid to play games or get sucked into politics. I must guard my heart and not let concerns become my responsibilities. I must walk in humility, quick to listen and learn, quick to take the high road. At the end of it all I want people to see Jesus in me. They might disagree with me, but as long as they see Jesus, then it will all work out.
Prayer:
Father thank You for this day and for the great lesson learnt. Help me to lead in times where people gossip or judge me. I pray that my heart would be soft and open to Your presence. I pray for wisdom and discernment to know Your will and Your ways. I pray for favor, that You would favor my hands and my work. I pray for favor as a shield. I ask You to go before me today so that I might walk in Your footsteps. Bless the urgency team, bless the volunteer leaders and bless every student. I thank You for my wife and ask You to bless her today.
Amen.

Miracles and Timing
Ezekiel 45; Ezekiel 46; Luke 1
Scripture:
Luke 1: But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
Observation:
Elizabeth was barren and that must have been tough for Zacharias to handle. Elizabeth wanted to have kids, but could not. Zacharias prayer and believed that God to do a miracle, for the angel response was that God had heard his prayers. God answered his prayer and worked a miracle in the womb of Elizabeth.
Application:
This morning I’m reminded of the powerful truth that God listens to my prayers and that He is willing to do a miracle for me in His perfect timing. The issue is not can God answer prayers, but when will He? I am to rest assured that the answer is already waiting for the appropriate time. God will send it at the right time so that it can bear maximum fruit and I too will be able to steward the miracle wisely. One thing I know is that God knows best. Even when my ways seem right, in my eyes, God is never in a rush. My faith needs to be like Elijah, who waited for the cloud in the midst of the drought. God told him it would come. He could see nothing. He knew the answer had been provided, now he had to wait patiently for the clouds to appear at God’s timing. The answer have been provided, I can live by faith knowing that God has met every need, I can begin to live by faith, live with the attitude that it is already done, and it will appear. Deep inside my spirit there are big dreams, these need big miracles. God has already provided, and I am called to walk by faith and obedience, and at the right time, they will appear.
Prayer:
Father thank You for a new day. Thank You for grace, mercy and forgiveness. I ask You to forgive me of my attitude and sins. I pray that You fill me with peace, love and joy. I thank You that the miracles needed are not the issue, the timing is. Lord prepare my heart for the things You have planned for me. Renew my mind, fill me with wisdom to steward the gifts and talents You have given me. I pray for tonight’s youth service and ask You to bless and anoint it. I pray for clarity and for an obedience heart to teach what You show me. I pray for every youth that will be present, and I ask You to sow a powerful seed into their hearts. Bless urgency, bless it’s leader. I pray for every parent represented and I ask You to encourage them today, fill them with hope. I pray that tonight will be all about You. Bless this day, and may I walk closer to You. Amen.

Listneing Daily for His direction
Ezekiel 42; Ezekiel 43; Ezekiel 44; Revelation 22
Scripture:
Revelation 22: 12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
Observation:
What a great reminder that the Lord is coming to claim His bride the church, to rule and to reign with her. Jesus promises rewards for those who have been faithful, for those who have kept His commandments.
Application:
I am reminded this morning that not doing what the Lord tells me to do is sin. In our leadership group this week, Ps. Wayne read a scripture that reminded me of this. God has given me a calling, gifts and equipped me to be about His kingdom work. It is so easy for me to divert to my own agenda and to live by my flesh. I must always start my day off asking for His guidance and for the Holy Spirit to search my heart and realign me to His will and plans for my life. I desire to walk out the steps God has for me. I desire to be faithful and obedient. Obedience allows the transfer of heaven to continue in my life. I am learning so much in this season. It is not an easy season for me, but it is a good one. My heart is being tested, my patience, my willingness to respond in godliness vs. reacting by my flesh is consistently before me. I saw a quote the other day that states, “The true measure of a man is not measured by how he stands in times of comfort and ease, but how he stands in times of challenge and opposition.” I pray that I be a man that stands in all circumstances and displays the attitude and heart of Christ.
Prayer:
Father forgive me for to often diverting to my own plans and purposes. I pray today that You would wash me clean and that my heart would be sensitive to Your will and to Your way. Renew my mind today and show me the steps You have planned out for me. I pray for wisdom today, discernment and favor. Help me grow in my leadership ability, in my communication skills. Help me to work wiser and not harder. Teach me Your disciplines and Your ways. I pray for my wife today and I ask You to bless her and refresh her. Draw her close to You. Speak to her and anoint her to do Your will. Keep her heart soft and compassionate. I pray for this weeks messages and ask You to speak to me. Give me the words of heaven. Thank You for a new day, I step out knowing that You are with me. Amen.

God's Faithfulness
Ezekiel 38; Ezekiel 39; Psalm 145; Revelation 20
Scripture:
Psalm 145:13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
The LORD is faithful to all his promises
and loving toward all he has made.
Observation:
Psalm 145 reminds me of the incredible faithfulness and goodness of the Lord. God is so to anger, gentle in love and He knows my needs and He knows that to give me to move me forward in the plans and purposes He has set for my life. There will be times where I feel like He is not close. There will be times where I feel there is no way out, but the promises of God are eternal, and nothing can stop them. My eyes must be on the Lord, my ears must be tuning into His voice, for I must walk in the steps my Shepherd has walked before me.
Application:
What a great hope, what a great promise this morning. The kingdom of God is everlasting, His dominion knows no end. Nothing can stand against Him. I am honored to be a child of God, blessed to be in covenant with God and all this made possible through the gift of Jesus Christ. God knows my needs, He knows where He is taking me and I am learning to let go to His will and to His ways. I do not always understand, but I do know that He is in control. As I reflect this morning on the goodness of God I know the enemy can only try to distract me. He wants to get my eyes and ears off the Lord. He wants me to listen to the foolish words of men and my flesh, he wants me to look at the things of this world like money and material things. I am glad to declare that money and things will remain behind, I want to focus on the eternal, things that I take with me to heaven, people I have ministered too or led to the Lord, those are the true riches of heaven.
Prayer:
Father thank You for always taking care of me. You have never failed me or let me go. I stand before You today as You child because of the precious blood of Jesus. I am forgive and restored to a place of authority, power and position. I pray today that I would lead well from these and that my heart would be all about Your kingdom and dominion. Forgive me for selfish ambitions and for listen to foolish talk. I ask You today to give me wisdom, discernment and compassion for all those I encounter today. May I serve with the same attitude as Christ, placing others in front of myself. Bless this day. Bless Vince as he master’s the album. Bless his business and speak to him through all of us. Bless my friend Josh this morning that peace and wisdom. Give him the insight of heaven on the next steps. Pour out favor on him. I pray for my father-in-law back home and ask You to give him peace and hope. Open the right doors and lift up his spirit. Bless my family back home and watch over them. I pray for my wife today and ask You to refresh her. Give her wisdom for her meeting today and pour out favor on her. I pray for the CD project and ask You to clearly guide the next steps. I know that without You it will be hard, but with Your favor and guidance many lives will be touched. Thank You for this day, go before me and lead I pray.
Amen.

Speak what you see
Ezekiel 36; Ezekiel 37; Psalm 110; Revelation 19
Scripture:
Ezekiel 37: 1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"
I said, "O Sovereign LORD, you alone know."
4 Then he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath [a] enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.'
Observation:
God speaks to Elijah and asks him a great question, “Do you believe that I can bring life to these dry bones?” This question focused on the spiritual state of Israel and its heart towards God. Ezekiel was fed up with Israel and it seemed impossible for God to revive them. It is great how God first dealt with the prophet before the people. The man of God had to believe that God was able, so that God could use him as a mouth peace. Ezekiel responds by faith and God shows him what He is about to do. Then God calls him to speak, to prophecy what He saw.
Application:
God has called me to lead urgency and He is calling me to prophecy and believe that He can bring a revival. I am called to see urgency by faith and to speak it into being. I believe that God is wanting to bring healing and a revival to the youth of the Bay Area. I believe that God is searching my heart and seeking to bring a fresh touch into my heart, before the people I lead. I want to be a leader that serves ‘fresh bread,’ and to get to that place it starts with me spending more time in the presence of God. I am excited for this next season. I am excited as this past weekend was a sign of God moving us in the right direction. I must guard my heart in this season, I must establish godly values and margins in my life. Each day I must prophecy over urgency, I must call into being what God has shown me.
Prayer:
Father thank You for this day. Thank You for urgency and for all You are doing in the hearts of our youth. I pray for a fresh touch for all our leaders today. Bless and anoint them. I pray for our youth and ask You to stir up a fresh fire in their hearts for You. A passion to be set apart for Your kingdom. Lord thank You for all You are doing in my life. I pray for wisdom to lead, a heart for You and a deeper holiness. Restore my heart for You, continue to heal me, teach me Your ways and principles. I pray that I would see through Your eyes the things before me. Thank You for peace today. Bless my wife and her cd project. We lay it before You. Amen.

Amen.

Don't forget the Mission
Lamentations 1-2; Obadiah 1; Revelation 14
Scripture:
Revelation 14: 6Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. 7He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water."
Observation:
I am reminded this morning that the gospel needs to get out. There are still many who have not heard the message of salvation. Some of them live in my complex, some of them make my coffee, some of them serve me food at my favorite restaurant. The angles shout out the message of God for all to hear. I have received this gift of salvation and I am called to share it with others.
Application:
I'm reminded this morning that the church is called to reach souls. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in 'church culture' that we isolate ourselves from reaching the lost. As i look at my life this morning, I realize the need to focus more on those around me who do not know Jesus. I need to preach Jesus through my lifestyle, attitude, service, the way I treat my wife and others. The world is searching for hope, the are searching for truth and love. May they see Jesus in me. The book of Romans reminds me to cloth myself with Christ. This is a daily choice, as my flesh seeks it's own desires and pleasures.I pray that today someone would see Jesus in me.
Prayer:
Father thank You for the reminder that it is all about reaching out to those who do not know You. Someone shared Jesus with me and I accept the greatest gift ever. I pray today for a heart that burns for those who do not know You. You paid a heavy price for mankind and no man should go without hearing about Your love. Lord make me sensitive to Your opportunities, to Your will and to Your ways. I pray for favor today, I ask for wisdom to lead and discernment to know Your ways. I pray that You would go before my decisions. May my attitude, lifestyle and the way I treat others point people to You. Forgive me for my sins and create in me a clean heart. Thank You for this new day, may I serve You with passion and zeal. I love You Lord. Amen.

Spokesman for the Lord
Ezekiel 22, 23, 24; Revelations 9
Scripture:
Ezekiel 22:30 "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.
Observation:
This passage spoke to me today on the need for men of God in the nations. Men of God who walk in the ways of the Lord, men who are righteous, solid marriages, balanced in all aspects of life. Men who know the word of the Lord, the counsel of God and most of all men who know the voice of the Father. The world is in a desperate place, the need for the provision of God intense. The world is turning more and more away from God, giving themselves over to sin, lust, greed and sexual perversions. It's amazing how this week the media reported so much on rape cases, child abductions, and perversions. Yet all this will continue and even intensify until men come to the place of acknowledging God and living according to His ways. We live in a time where God desires to place men in positions of authority, in positions of being a voice to the nations and it's leader. Here I am, Lord send me.
Application:
In Jeremiah 15:19, "If you return to Me, I will restore you - before Me you will stand; if you choose to remove the precious from the worthless, you will be My spokesman to the nations." I read that earlier this morning in Pastor Wayne's book 'Leading on Empty.' God has been speaking to me all day on the need to cleanse my lifestyle, readjust priorities, find balance and seek Him. I believe God is preparing me for great things. i believe God is seeking me out to be a man that can stand in the gap for Him. This is a huge Responsibility and cannot be taken lightly. God is searching my heart, motives and devotion. I hunger for new doors to open. I hunger to be a voice to the nations, because I sense the pain and hurt the Father feels. I feel like Jeremiah, inadequate and ill-equipped, but I know that God does not need my talents nor my gifts, He simply wants my heart and devotion. I stand today at the brink of a new season. I am excited, yet humbled. I do not know what is next, but i know my eyes and heart are set like flint to the Lord. I wait on Him. My yes is my yes!
Prayer:
Father thank You for this word and for the promise You gave me in Jeremiah 15:19. I want to be Your spokesman. I want to stand in the gap. I want the world to know Your love and grace. I pray for discernment to know Your will and Your ways. Forgive me for my flesh and sins. Wash me clean in the blood of the Lamb. Lord I pray for doors to open that no man can open. I pray for humility and compassion. I do not know how, but I know I am willing. Thank You for the lesson today on concerns vs. responsibility. Thank You for the freedom and release. I pray for all those I'm concerned about and release them to You. Help me to carry only what You call me to carry. Bless my wife today. Help me to be a better husband and head of my home. Thank You for this vacation and for refocusing my life. I love You Lord. Amen.

Wisdom starts with Reverence for the Lord
Ezekiel 20, 21; Psalm 111; Rev 8
Scripture:
Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise.
Observation:
I have heard and read this verse many times. The fear of the Lord, means the reverance of the Lord, is the beginning of wisdom. Reverence has many meaning, meanings like respect, adoration, consideration, acknowledgment... David is declaring that when a person put God first in his entire life, when that person considers and weighs the principles and practices of God before his actions or decisions, then that person is beginning a journey of wisdom.
Application:
In the past month this theme has been heavy on my heart. God is teaching me to think before I speak or make decisions. To often I make decisions based on my emotions and not on the word of the Lord. To often I rush into decisions without considering the counsel of the Lord or His word. This is not the 'fear' or reverence David talks about. A man of God must consider his way and learn to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit in all he does. There are times to be silent, times to say no, time to walk away, times not to go, times for wait, times to talk. Wisdom begins when God is feared and His ways are honored. May I become a man that walk close to the Lord, that waits on the Lord and learns to lead out of reverence for the Lord.
Prayer:
Father thank You for what You are teaching me. Forgive me for the many times where I make decisions based on emotions and not on Your counsel. Forgive me for the immaturity of my mind and heart. Thank You for the season I'm in and the lesson's You are teaching me. I am learning to let go and to let You work a thing out. I pray today for peace, for faith and a patience. God help me to lead well, help me to lead out of my relationship with You. Teach me to be a man of devotion and dedication to the word of the Lord. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. I pray for financial breakthrough today, I pray for favor and blessing. I pray for my wife and my calling, open the doors You choose. I pray for my family and friends today and I ask You to bless and anoint them. Thank You for this trip and for all You are doing in my heart.
Amen.

Leading on Empty... by Ps. Wayne Cordeiro
I'm on vacation in Hawaii with my wife, Cindy. We are having a great time and the enjoying the pace of the island, the beauty of creation and the fresh air. A problem though has emerged! The first day we got here, we slept 14 hours, the next day 10 hours... I went to church on Sunday and heard one of my favorite speakers and mentors, Pastor Wayne Cordeiro. He spoke on living life and that life happens between. Log onto www.enewhope.org for more info... I then picked up his recent book, "Leading on Empty," which he wrote during his season of burnout and depression. This book has been changing my life. I am realizing how close to the edge of burnout I got. Chapter after chapter I sense the grace, mercy and love of Jesus ministering to me, warning me, instructing me to slow down. This trip is causing me to re-evaluate my life and to make some hard decisions. I'm excited as I move forward and I highly recommend this book to any leader, it's the best $14 you will ever spend!

Jesus, my Shepherd
Ezekiel 17 -19; Rev 7
Scripture:
Rev 7:17 “The Lamb on the Throne will Shepherd them, will lead them to spring waters of Life. And God will wipe every last tear from their eyes.
Observation:
What a great reminder that I have a Shepherd and He knows the way. Not only does He know the way, but He knows my needs, my current situation, and He is watching over me. Sometimes in life one can feel so alone, but the truth for children of God is His promise, “I will never leave You nor forsake you.” What a great Shepherd I serve.
Application:
As I sit here on the balcony over looking the ocean of Hawaii, I sit amazed at the goodness of God. These past couple of days have been so amazing. God finally got me to place of rest, silence, detox of emotions, and now I sense His presence. I have been running to the beat of my own drum instead of His. My priorities were not His. It has been good to stop and listen, to readjust and make decisions that are in the now. Life truly is not about goals, but about the journey. I’m realizing that it is the journey and the lesson’s learnt on the journey that prepare one for the mountain top and the legacy one leaves behind. Yesterday God spoke to me on legacy. Oh how I want to be a man of legacy. There is so much to learn though. I have realized on my vacation that goals deprive me of living in the now. Goals cause me to miss relationships, opportunities to speak into friends lives or even leaders, goals drive me to miss our on quality time with my wife, on exercise and what is important to me, on study time, on rest and fun. I must balance goals and life, or else I will become another statistic of a burnt out pastor. I am blessed this morning to know that my shepherd is watching over me. I must keep my eyes on Him, my ears open to hear His voice and my heart soft to His correction. For He knows where He is taking me!
Prayer:
Father thank You for a new day Lord. Guide me today and speak revelation into my life. I am so blessed for this vacation and for all the changes You are making in my life. I pray today for wisdom, guidance, love and peace to flood my heart. Lord guide me today in Your steps. Lead me in the things that please You. Restore in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. I pray today for a cleansing of my heart and mind, so that I may qualify to lead Your people. Lord I pray for margins and boundaries in my life. Discipline me according to Your ways. Mold me into the man You have called me to be. Thank You today for my wife, bless her. Thank You today for my friends Josh and Michelle. Bless them and watch over them. I pray for my team and ask You to refresh them. I pray for outcry and ask You to open the nations. Bless them and keep their hearts humble. Bless Jubilee today and guide us in Your steps. Bring healing and restoration, hope and peace to Your people. Amen.

From Whore to Child of God
Ezekiel 15, 16; Ps 70; Rev 6
Scripture:
The whole chapter of Ezekiel 16
Observation:
What a powerful word and picture of the Lord. The first three quarters of the passage are disgusting, and reveals the way we treat God to often through our lifestyle and devotion. God does an amazing salvation work in our lives and the next minute we are of to our old fleshly ways. Quick to flash the grace card given to us, almost like a get free out of jail card. We turn our back on God and play church so easily, trying to please God yet, deep inside it is all about us. God deals harshly with the sin, He calls it out, yet in the end His grace washes us clean, restores us and makes us righteous.
Application:
As I read this passage this morning, my heart broke. For I am that woman in Ezekiel 16, I to often live for my self and my desires. It shows up many a time in my life through attitudes, actions, thoughts, ambitions and motives. To often I whip out the grace card, unawares of the price paid for my forgiveness. To often I live in the motion of forgiveness and not the now of forgiveness. I am blessed as I reflect today and the patience God has on my life. God is so amazing and in His holiness He restores me. I am learning to live in Him, to focus on Him and to sift out the things that are meaningless. I am learning to find my role in the masquerade called church. I am tied of ‘playing church, tied of the motions, the masks, the politics,” all these do not bring one closer to the things of Christ. I pray that in my life there would be a stronger filter of the Holy Spirit. A filter that filters out the junk of the world and flesh, from the things of God. I hunger for the things of God, I hunger for a new work. I hunger to see the visions of God inside me unleashed. I hunger to be all that God has called me to be. I hunger to be close to Him, to hear His voice and feel His touch.
Prayer:
Father forgive me for living like the woman in Ezekiel 16. I know to well the sins in my life for they pull me each day away from You. I ask You to renew my mind and my heart. Remove from me the things that hold me back. Heal my heart today from all the hurt and disappointment. I forgive those who gossip about me, I release those who intend on seeing me fall. I bless them today and ask You to work in their hearts. I pray today for a stronger conviction in my heart for the things that please You and a deeper resistance to the things that are not of You. I ask You to wash me clean like You declared in Ezekiel 16. Wash me clean, clothe me in Your righteousness and holiness, place me in my destiny and help me to walk in Your ways. Teach me Holy Spirit to be a man of God. Teach me patience, wisdom, knowledge. Teach me how to do my Fathers business. Remove from me anything that does not line up with the will of God. I ask for favor in this season, blessing and discernment. Father bless my wife today, raise us up as one. I ask You to open the windows of heaven and to pour out a blessing in our marriage and home. Bless Gigi and Jesse today too, watch over them. Amen.
