Living in the present through the revelation of the future

Job 18; Psalm 114; Acts 27,28

Scripture:
Psalm 114: 7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord,
at the presence of the God of Jacob,

8 who turned the rock into a pool,
the hard rock into springs of water.

Acts 27:22But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. 23Last night an angel of the God whose I am and whom I serve stood beside me 24and said, 'Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.' 25So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me

Observation:
Nothing is impossible for God. He can turn the impossible into possible for those who believe. The rock into springs of water, death into life no matter what the situation. Paul instructs the ships crew to not fear, for God had told him no one would die. God had a mission for Paul and no one would suffer for his sake. Paul looked at his present situation through the eyes of his future. He knew what was to come, as revealed by the Lord.

Application:
To often I live my present based on my present circumstances and not my future which God has revealed. I realize this morning that God has showed me so many things concerning my future, dreams, visions and prophecies all concerning my future. I must live in the now on the faith of the future. My now must be dictated to by my future. I must live by what I see and what the Lord has spoken to me. So successful people say, "Live as how you want to be and not as who you are!" That is a great statement, as i would rephrase it though as this, "Live as how God sees you and not as how you see yourself!" Yesterday was powerful for me, I crossed a line in the spirit realm, sounds crazy, but what i mean it I feel like I went to a new level in my faith and commitment to God. I sensed a new peace and a new anointing. I sense God is calling me to live big, no longer governed by fear or insecurity, but by faith believing that He can turn the rocks, the impossible, into springs of water, life!

Prayer:
Father thank You for the words You have spoken over my life, for all the dreams and the visions. I hunger for breakthrough in my life and for the power of the Holy Spirit. I pray today for a shift in my thinking and my faith. Teach me to live in the present by the revelation of my future and identity that is found in Christ. All things are possible. I ask You to forgive me for my fear and for the limitations i so often put on the Holy Spirit's power. You are for me and You know all my needs. I pray today for wisdom and for favor and for the anointing to break the yoke. Holy Spirit teach me to live by faith and activate in me the power to do the impossible for the glory of the Lord. I pray today for discernment to know Your will. Multiply my efforts. I pray for every urgency student and leader today and I ask You to bless them and anoint them. Turn their 'rocks' into springs of water. I believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and the Almighty. Move on my behalf. May I see the future, the plans and the purposes the Lord has for me. Bless this day, may I live it for You. Amen.
