God, None like Him.

Job 11, 12; Acts 15,16

Scripture:
Job 12:13 "To God belong wisdom and power;
counsel and understanding are his.

Observation:
The ways of God are not always understood. It is true that Job was restored double over everything he had, but God never told Job why he went through the trials he did. Somethings will never be understood, but obedience and keeping a right heart towards God is always critical. God has the wisdom, the power, the counsel and the understanding. It is so easy to turn to people, experience of others and the world's viewpoint, and so often the last one we turn to is God. Heaven is open wide, in fact I'm reminded of the passage in Hebrews 4 that states that I can approach the throne with confidence and receive grace in the time of need.

Application:

Studying the word of God and seeking His wisdom, power, counsel and understanding is wealth for a man. It is amazing how many distractions in my life stop me from time in the word or time studying. There will always be another meeting, someone to counsel or someone that needs prayer, but without time with the Lord, I will run on empty. Guarding my devotion time and study time is a must. God has many things He wants to reveal to me, wisdom He wants to give me, power and faith to dream big, all things are found in His presence. As Pastor Wayne wrote in his recent book, wisdom is found in the quiet hallways where the king is found. May I today take time to seek God and His wisdom. May the pace of my day be His.

Prayer:
Father lead me today. Guide me to Your streams of wisdom, understanding, power and counsel. I pray for a heart focused on You. Bless my day and help me to love all and to work in the joy of the Lord. I thank You today that You hold my future in Your hands. Bless my life with Your wisdom and favor. Lord go before me and show me Your path. I pray for blessing on my wife and her calling. Refresh her today and help her get through her busy day. Thank You for all the blessings. I declare to You that I love You Lord and I'm honored to be Your child.
Amen.
