God my Source

Malachi 3, 4; Psalm 148; Acts 5

Scripture:
Malachi 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty. 12 "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the LORD Almighty.

Observation:
God is faithful to His word. God is our source and when we loose track of that and step in disobedience by not paying our tithes, then the curse of the land comes upon us. i believe this is not a curse in the sense of the devil can touch us, but a curse in the sense that if we do not look to God as our source but instead we trust the world system, then we are cursed, for the world system is apposed to God.

Application:
I have been believing for a financial breakthrough in my life. It has been tough and I have had to discipline myself, wipe debt and get my finances in order. This whole year has been about order for me, and it has been tough. It seems the more I try to obey and bring order the more the curse is fighting back. I know i must keep moving forward, day by day, trusting God and His ways. I truly sense a huge breakthrough is coming my way, I have known it for years and it is for the purpose of taking the gospel into nations. As I look now at my current situation, it seems lifeless, but as I look through the eyes of Christ I see vision and the tools to further the kingdom. I stand today with hope, I stand today with my feet on the Rock. God knows my need. Tonight I give my tithe, tonight I stand before God and claim the open heavens and abundance. I am ready for a miracle.

Prayer:
Father You have been teaching me so much about money and stewardship. There was so much you had to get out of my heart. I stand today believing and confessing that You are my source. You know my need today and so I ask You to open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing for me. Thank You for a breakthrough. I pray for urgency tonight and ask You to heal the brokenhearted, to set the captives free and to bring joy and love in the hearts of every student. I pray for those invited tonight that they would come, I pray for the lost and hurting and call them in. I pray against any distraction that would prevent a student from coming. Bless tonight. May I faithfully and accurately preach what You want to say. Bless my home, my wife, our health and our finances.
