Esther 9,10' Luke 19
Scripture:
Luke 19:26 "I tell you that to everyone who has, more shall be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away."
Observation:
This passage seems hard as the unfaithful servant gave back what was given to him, but the Master rebuked him for his lack of wisdom and discernment. He was afraid of his Master, for he knew him to be a shrewd business man. He must have observed how well this man made money, yet a fear arose in him, instead of an opportunity to follow in what he had been taught or mentored. Sometimes the fear of failure can be seen as sin itself.
Application:
As I reflect on this passage today, a whole new revelation hit me. I have read it many times before, but what I see today is that the Lord desires for us to step in faith. It is not enough just to be mentored in faith and the principles of God, we must put into in work. God desires fruit. He has called us to change lives and to build His kingdom in all arena's and spheres. We cannot allow the fear of failure to hold us back. I must push forward in faith, as Hebrews 11:6 declares, "Without faith it is impossible to please God." I want to please the Lord with my life, I want to bear fruit in my life, and I know the enemy wants to tie me down. As I reflect on this passage, hope stirs up in me. God has spoken many great things over my life, and today I speak them over myself. No more limitation, no more fear, no more holding back.
Prayer:
Father thank You for this revelation today. Lord You are the greatest example of how to live. I pray today for a greater boldness and faith. I desire to step out in new things. I thank You that You will provide and make a way. I ask for wisdom, discernment and favor to surround me today. Guide me in the steps You have planned for me today. I pray that I would steward well my energy pockets today and that I would be effective in all I do. Thank You today for protection. I pray for Your provision and blessing over my house and wife. Bless my wife today. Fill her with joy, refresh her with the songs of heaven. Give her wisdom and discernment today. Remove all fear of failure and give her boldness to step out in her gift. I thank You for her and all the doors You are going to open. Amen.
Quote for this Season
Are you building your life around what's WRONG with you, or what's RIGHT with Him?
