Zechariah 1, 2,3; Luke 11
Scripture:
Luke 11: 2And He said to them, "When you pray, say:
'Father, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Observation:
Jesus taught us how to pray and He starts by teaching us to acknowledge God and pray His will for our lives. Jesus reminds us that God has made all things possible and that God has a plan and a purpose for our lives. We are to pray the things of the kingdom into this world. It is like praying things from the spirit world into the natural world (our world.)
Application:
This passage reminds me why prayer is so important. Prayer makes transference happen. Prayer unleashes the power, provision, will and plans of God in my life. As I reflect on this passage I am reminded that I live to much on the natural and not enough on the spiritual. I am glad that God is stirring up my heart for the spiritual. There is a hunger, a desperation to see the hand of God move. I must practice the discipline of prayer until it becomes a greater part of my life. When one understands the value of something, you grab onto it. I want a greater value of prayer in my life. I want to see a greater transference from the kingdom of God into my life. I'm glad today, glad that Jesus has made the way for me to do this. I am glad that God is working in and through me. I'm blessed, blessed because greater things are coming my way. I pray today, "Your kingdom come, Your will be done in my life as it is in heaven.'
Prayer:
Father thank You for all the blessings, plans and purposes You have called me to. Forgive me for living so much by the flesh and for allowing emotions and carnal things to dictate my life. Holy Spirit thank You for ministering to me the past few days. I know that I'm entering a new season and I pray that You would unleash the will of the Father over my life. Lord renew my mind and my heart. Guide me and fill me with wisdom and discernment. Thank You today for a new day and for new blessings. Fill me with peace and patience to wait on You. Bless my wife, my friends and my staff. Bless Ps. Dick and Adam. Thank You for all You are doing at Jubilee. Bless our church.
Amen.
Quote for this Season
Are you building your life around what's WRONG with you, or what's RIGHT with Him?
