Exodus 33; Exodus 34; Psalm 16; Acts 9
Scripture:
Exodus 33: 13 If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people."
14 The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
Observation:
Moses asks for the favor and presence of God to go with him. He refuse to move without knowing this. God promises to go with him and to give him peace. Having the presence of God in one’s life is an honor. Too often we take God’s presence in our life for granted. I know that there are times where I forget that God is with me and through Him all things are possible. Moses wanted his steps ordered by the Lord, he wanted to be in line with God because that’s where the peace of God was. Am I walking in line with God? Am I seeking His wisdom for my life? Am I desperate to hear His voice? My answer would be yes, I’m doing pretty well in these areas, but still there is much growth needed.
Application:
I have made some big changes in my life, I have sought order and I can see how order is bringing favor in my life. I am more at peace and I know that the enemy would love to trip me up. I must stay focused, I must stay in step with Him, and guard my heart. The bible says, “Above all things guard your heart for it s the wellspring of life.” My heart must stay in the place of obedience. I pray that my heart would continue to be molded by Him so that I may please Him and bring honor to His name.
Prayer:
Father thank You for this day and for the promise that obedience brings favor and peace. I desire my steps to be ordered by the Lord. I desire to be one that pleases God in all I do. Lord make me a leader that is led by You. I pray for greater sensitivity in my life to Your will and to Your ways. There is still so much flesh in my life. Lord I want to be holy, set apart for You, a vessel of honor for Your work. Father order my steps this week. I pray that I would manage my time wisely, and achieve all my rocks. Bless my wife this day. Give her energy to do all the things she wants to do today. Bless her with joy, peace and most of all Your presence. Thank You for Your favor on my life. Bless my family and pour out favor on them.
Amen.
Quote for this Season
